Design Exercise - Investree Onboarding Page Redesign

Note: This task was done for my job application as UI/UX Designer. The time window is only one week and this was done during my spare time outside of my full-time job.

Background Case

Lender registration is the main point flow before the Lender can be funding the loan. The main problem in this step is that there are so many information fields that have to be filled out by the Lender. So it can be tricky to keep clear and does not frustrate users in completing data. and helps users to complete data quickly & correctly.

Goal

To create a seamless user interface on registration & activation of mobile Lender App.

User Target
- users aged 21–30 Years
- users aged 31–40 Years

Ideation

Creating a design that is clean, simple, and accessible for users.

Onboarding Page (Before)

If I could point out the problem with the current design, is that I would think that it looks too plain. The illustration style is really good but it the graphic itself can be more relevant so that users can grasp the JTBD (jobs-to-be-done) value quicker.

Onboarding Page (After)

The main point of this redesign is the choice of illustration images. I tried to use a more relevant images to match with the values.

  1. Picture of profit graph
  2. Added rocket and connection graphic to match “cepat dan mudah” value.
  3. Making the “protection shield” graphic bigger, emphasising the idea of feeling safe.

I also add extra touch of investree logo on the top to maintain identity because I felt that the previous design feel a little bit too plain, and also i want to to give the user idea what they really sign up for.

And also I’ve added the sign up/in button because if the goal is to convert user into having an account, why not making the process faster while also maintaining the value of onboarding?

I made a change of button that should be highlighted. On previous design it is the “login” button that was on color, but on my design it is “Buat akun” since it is the main focus.

Added blue colour scheme to match with investree’s visual identity and emphasising different section of the page.

The main idea of this page redesign is to maintain information load whilst making the users doesn’t feel overwhelmed by the steps.

Closing

This redesign is completely based of my assumption. In-depth research, analysis, and additional testing are required to perfect and validate the solution.
